Myers Briggs
The Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is a great tool for identifying a person's preferences. It varies from other personality type instruments in that it is used to sort people into opposite categories, rather than to measure a degree of a certain trait.
On any team it is always apparent that there are many personality types. Some people are friendly and outgoing, others are quiet and serious. Some need all the details and love facts and to do's. Others just need the 'big picture' before they jump into work. Some are driven by deadlines. Others like the flexibility of a moving target. Some like logic. Others defy logic and 'go with their gut'. That's the magic of a team! Different types, Different preferences ~ Different skills and abilities!
